Alkaline Stomach - Restoring Your Body's pH Balance

Medical studies show that alkaline stomach promotes good digestion and good health. Is this true? Have you ever wondered why? More importantly, how can you maintain an alkaline body condition? Let's answer these questions one at a time.

Why Maintain An Alkaline Stomach and Body

Our body is made up of two kinds of chemicals - alkaline and acid. When we eat food, we either increase or decrease our body's alkalinity or acidity. Consuming acid-rich foods (beef, pork, coffee, tea, beer, liquor, artificial sweeteners) results to an acidic body because acid-rich foods leave acid residue as well.

On the other hand, when we consume more alkaline foods, the exact opposite happens. Alkaline-rich foods leave alkaline residue that strengthens our cells and tissues. An alkaline diet can help prevent our body from becoming acidic.

Obviously, our way of eating directly affects our health condition. Chemical imbalance is a result of an improper diet. Excessive levels of acidity in our system can be fatal. Why is this? Over-acidity weakens our cells and tissues. Thus, we become more susceptible to diseases.

Different symptoms of over acidic can manifest as frequent headaches, nausea, unexplained tiredness, weakness, difficulty in breathing, sore muscles, joint pains, etc. In severe cases, a highly acidic person may suffer from Crohn's disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, depression, heart disease, and even Cancer. This is why it is crucial for us to seriously consider what we feed our body.

How to Restore Your Body's pH Balance

A highly acidic body can still be neutralized through the elimination of excessive acid and wastes from the body. This can be achieved by changing to a healthier diet. An alkaline-rich diet is the perfect diet program because an alkaline body can help reduce toxins and strengthen the immune system.

However, it is important to remember that an alkaline stomach alone doesn't guarantee good health. In order to be completely healthy, we need to keep the chemical balance not only in our stomach but in our entire body system as well. Cleansing from the inside must be done to restore a healthy pH balance through the alkaline diet system.
