Do you ever find yourself reaching for that third cup of coffee or that sugar loaded candy bar? A lot of people turn to these caffeine and sugar laden products in order to gain that always needed burst of energy. However, what many of us don’t know is that we are loading our bodies with unnatural sugars which will only make us crash an hour later. Truth being told, there are many foods at our local grocery store which can increase our energy without the sugary crash and unwanted calories. Yes, many of the energy drinks and candy bars which we purchase are laden with calories. This is mostly due to the fact that a single serving of the common energy drink contains 12 tablespoons of sugar. So why not spare our bodies the unwanted weight and allow a healthier product to give us an energy burst in the midst of a hectic day.
Fruit is one of the best sources of natural energy. Loaded with nutrients and natural sugars, fruit will stimulate your brain and give you the ability to think faster. On top of providing you with raw energy, fruit also provides your body with water. Apples, oranges, and bananas are all excellent sources of energy. Certain fruit are also excellent at curbing your hunger. While some people use the hoodia pill to suppress their appetite, others consume a fiber rich apple.
Another great source of energy can be found in whey protein shakes. Whey protein shakes offer numerous health benefits on top of improved energy. With this particular protein powder, the consumer can expect hunger sustaining power, improved athletic performance, improved blood pressure, improved digestive health, improved immunity, and improved weight. It is one of the best ways to control ones hunger while at the same time getting the daily nutritional values you expect from a well balanced meal. So if you ever feel tired in the midst of the day, try reaching for a weight friendly and a healthy energy boost.
