Living Water Feeding the Body

The average human body is composed of about 70 percent water, which can vary from one person to the next. You can only survive for about 3 to 5 days without water.

The role of water in the body
Water functions as a transporter of nutrients throughout the body.
It maintains normal body temperature through perspiration.
Water carries waste products out of the body.
It helps with digestion of food, absorption nutrients and minerals and with the circulation of blood through the veins.
It is therefor very important to replace the water that is continually being lost through sweating and elimination. Inadequate water consumption can lead to the following:

The body will be poisoned by its own metabolic wastes. Waste products will build up in the kidneys which will then be damaged.
Oxygen and nutrients will not be carried to the cells.
Water lubricates the joints and a lack of water thus enhances joint conditions like arthritis and osteoporosis.
Lungs can be damaged because lung tissue must be moist for the intake of oxygen and the excretion of carbondioxcide.
It may contribute to excess body fat and poor muscle tone.
It can lead to poor functioning of the brain.
A lack of water will enhance the ageing process.
It can cause kidney stones, headache, constipation, obesity and many other ailments.

It is clear that a high consumption of pure, good quality water should be included in every healthy diet. It is recommended that a person should consume 8 to 10 glasses of water per day. Unfortunately tap water is not always a good source and in most cases contains high quantities of heavy metal deposits and other substances. It is advisable to install a good quality water filter. If it is not possible then the water should at least be boiled before drinking it.
