Lose Weight Quickly and Permanently

FAT - Friend or Foe? Understand it and you can easily control it.

Most people think of fat as their enemy. It’s unsightly, it’s unhealthy (biggest contributor to diabetes and heart disease), and makes your normal motions of life burdensome.

Like any enemy, however, you’ll never conquer it until you understand its motivation and purpose. That’s right, fat actually serves a purpose. It gives you energy and protects you. In essence, fat is your friend, that’s why it doesn’t want to leave you. As funny as that sounds, it’s true. Now you are going to learn the little-known secret on how to get rid of this “friend” forever.

HOW FAT GIVES YOU ENERGY
The first role of fat is to supply you with energy.

Your body breaks down fat with enzymes to release glycogen and fatty acids into the blood. These circulating fatty acids in turn supply muscle cells with the energy they require to function. When your body lacks energy-producing nutrients (the American diet), it produces fat and stores it to help supply you with energy.

HOW FAT PROTECTS YOU
Fat protects us externally. Eskimos, for example, have more body fat than people from other regions. They need the fat to protect them from the cold. But fat also protects us internally. From what? It protects us from foreign invaders. This is where the story gets interesting...

By “foreign invaders” we mean the additives that are in our foods that aren’t themselves food. Additives such as pesticides, preservatives, trans-fatty acids (oil used to make French fries, etc.),, or dozens of other foreign substances in our modern-day diets. Read the ingredients on a box of donuts, this will give you an idea.

One hundred years ago excess fat on a person was rare. Even as little as fifty years ago the average person weighed twenty-five pounds less than they do today! If you don’t believe it rent the video Woodstock. Out of the half a million people present at the rock concert, see if you can find even one fat person. Compare this with today where over thirty percent of youths are overweight and up to seventy percent of adults. So what changed? Today’s foods are filled with additives (foreign invaders) that pack the pounds on, yesterdays foods weren’t.

TERRORISTS IN YOUR BODY!
When these foreign invaders enter your body through what you eat and drink, the body doesn’t recognize them as food (because they aren’t food) so it treats them like they are “terrorists.” It first tries to get rid of them through its natural cleansing process. If this doesn’t work it imprisons them by building up fat to prevent them from running free in your blood stream where they could wreak havoc or even kill you. In this way, fat actually serves to protect your body from these poisons.

HOW YOUR METABOLISM GOT CRIPPLED
If you think you put on weight because you were born with a slow metabolism, think again. As pointed out, fifty years ago people weighed twenty-five pounds less than they do today. Were people not “born with a slow metabolism” back then? See, a slow metabolism is not a genetic gift from God, it’s a dysfunction manufactured by the foreign invaders. The poisons you consume in foods, in addition to creating fat as a protection device, are what slow down your metabolism which in turn puts on even more pounds.

HOW DIETS CAN HARM YOU
Think of fat as “walls” that your body erects in order to imprison the foreign invaders (terrorists) that have entered your body through food. Now, what would happen if you tore down those walls without first removing the foreign invaders? That’s right. Whether by means of appetite suppressants, extreme dieting, metabolism boosters, or some other means, if you try to lose weight without first removing the foreign invaders, the terrorists will be free to ravage your body. This is why most people feel worse after dieting! This is why dieting can actually make you sick…if you don’t cleanse out the foreign invaders first!

FOREIGN INVADERS ABOUND
According to the Environmental Protection Agency 4.3 billion pounds of chemical substances are legally dumped into our nation's environment each year. This comes out to be about 15 pounds for each person in America.

70,000 chemicals can be found in the food, water and cosmetics we consume and use.

According to the US Geological Survey, a common head of lettuce has 38 different toxic chemicals in it. A cucumber 41 toxins. And in a tomato 51 toxins.

HOW TO LOSE POUNDS QUICKLY, SAFELY AND PERMANENTLY
To lose the fat on a permanent basis you’re going to have to do two things:

Cleanse the foreign invaders out of your body.

Infuse your body with a full range of energy-providing super nutrients.

Do these two steps and your body won’t need the fat to protect you and to give you energy. The foreign invaders will be gone and the infusion of nutrients will give your body all the energy it needs. Your metabolism will adjust, which will further keep the fat off. Now you’ve conquered fat for good, because there is no reason for it to be in your body. Doing these two functions is the secret to losing and keeping the weight off.

BODY BURDEN - a term you will be hearing more and more about:
The term "body burden" is now commonly used in reference to harmful chemicals that have entered into our bodies since the beginning of the 20th century.

Toxic chemicals commonly get into our bodies through the air we breathe, processed foods we eat and chemicals in cosmetics we absorb through the skin. Pregnant women can pass them to the developing fetus through the placenta. The term " body burden " refers to the total amount of these chemicals that are present in the human body at a specific point in time. Toxins pose a serious threat to our health and longevity. You could say our bodies are turning into toxic soups. The natural life that our ancestors enjoyed is becoming our of reach in our culture.

Body Burden is a serious situation that affects us all. It is a human emergency and it must be made broadly known. A new Major motion picture called "287", due out in the fall of 2009 is expected to usher in this awareness. What Inconvenient Truth is to your external environment, "287" is to your internal environment.

Unfortunately in our culture you can find out more about the chemicals in the fish you eat than you can discover about the chemicals stored in your own body. In other countries, Sweden for example, body burden monitoring is more extensive, and the government tracks how well it is doing in reducing people's exposure to environmental chemicals. Body burden monitoring also can serve as an early warning system that identifies new chemicals that are increasing in people, and is something that all governments should be paying attention to. We could take a lesson from the Swedes and encourage the establishment of rigorous community-based body burden monitoring programs worldwide.

Interestingly, the men of Sweden rank third in the world in terms of longevity, living an average of 75.35 years and women ranked fifth worldwide with an average lifespan of 80.79 years.

Another lesson we may want to borrow from the people of Sweden is that cleaner diet, focusing on the intake of precise nutrients that fortify the liver and other internal cleansing organs, and the use of Medically tested herbal cleanses can be significant in relieving the body of excess fat and inflammation stemming from chemical toxicity.

By: Michelle Perkins | 10/11/2009
If you are trying to lose weight, one thing is certain: Eventually, no matter how hard you try to avoid it, you will eat something your diet says you shouldn't, overindulge, or skip a workout session. In the end, it's not important; what is important is how you respond to these perceived setbacks.

ACIDITY AND BODY FAT: THE WEIGHT-LOSS CONNECTION

By: Michelle Perkins | 10/11/2009
One factor that rarely gets discussed when talking about weight loss strategies is body acidity. In addition to serving as a source of ready energy, body fat is also used by the body to regulate pH, the measure of how acidic or alkaline your system is. For optimum health, your body’s pH must remain between about 6.0 and 7.5, and even minor shifts in pH can make oxygen delivery to the body's cells more difficult.

How to Lose Weight Fast With Ratio Diets

By: Paul Guenther | 10/11/2009
The gist of my variation on this program is relatively simple. You figure out your daily maintenance calorie requirements. That is, how many calories, given your level of activity, you need to consume to maintain your current weight. If you don’t already have an idea of your maintenance calorie needs, one way to figure it out is to keep a calorie intake journal for 5-7 days.
