Carbohydrates increase your energy production, which means that you can do cardiovascular exercise for longer. If you can do cardiovascular exercise for longer then you will get fitter faster. This can only be good for your health.
Exercise helps burn calories- The basic premise of exercise and losing weight is to make sure that you burn more calories in your day than you ingest each day. Exercise is important because it is through exercise that you burn more calories and hence lose weight. You need to lift weights and do cardiovascular exercise routines as part of your weekly exercise.
