Reports on Glyconutrients Show Health Benefits

Scientists have recently discovered a new class of necessary nutrients - certain monosaccharides or carbohydrates that are necessary for maintaining health. These monosaccharides are called glyconutrients and there are 8 glyconutrients essential for each cell in our body to communicate correctly with the next cell or organism.

Of the 200 different carbohydrate saccharides, there are eight that have been identified by science as essential for cell-to-cell interaction. There are eight simple sugars, known as saccharides, considered necessary for our bodies to function optimally: fucose, xylose, glucose, N-acetylglucosamine, N-acetylgalactosamine, galactose, mannose, and N-acetylneuraminic acid. These sugars work with the fats and proteins in our bodies in order to produce a sort of communication device that exists on the outer membrane of every cell allowing cells to recognize and interact with each other.

The debilitating symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and Gulf War syndrome frequently abate after adding saccharides. And, for cancer patients, saccharides mitigate the toxic effects of radiation and chemotherapy -while augmenting their cancer-killing effects, resulting in prolonged survival and improved quality of life.

The term "glyconutrients" refers to eight specific sugars (saccharides), which proponents say help form important compounds called glycoproteins in your body. Glycoproteins — such as digestive enzymes and antibodies — are sugar molecules attached to protein molecules.

These specific sugars (saccharides), help form important compounds called glycoproteins in your body. Glycoproteins — such as digestive enzymes and antibodies — are sugar molecules attached to protein molecules.

Fact: There are processes within the body that CAN produce these saccharides when needed. However, that is ONLY IF other nutrients are in the body and other mechanisms are working properly and even then, the process is VERY tiresome for the body.

Glyconutrients are just food and haven't been found to have side effects or to interact with prescribed drugs or herbal products. A glyconutrient supplement is the same as eating vegetables with the right level of nutrition. Glyconutrients are classified as sugars, glyco is from the Greek and means sugar. These sugars are NEVER to be confused with the excellent tasting but painfully addictive and damaging table sugar that most American consume an average of 35 teaspoons daily.

Glyconutrients are attributed with many benefits. Those individuals who support their use make claims that Glyconutrients heal cancer and the skin, improve memory, treat diabetes and memory loss, and a number of other wonderful things.

When many people find out that glyconutrients are sugar-based, their minds close and they move on to something else. This is because we've been taught that sugar is bad for us. Glyconutrients are at the forefront of nutritional science. The eight simple sugars (monosaccharides) combine with proteins and fats to form a code that allows each cell to communicate with others.

Glyconutrients are found in aloe vera, astragalus, saps, gums, garlic, certain mushrooms, yeasts, husks, breast milk, coconut meat, echinacea, maize, pectins from fruits, some algae, certain herbs. The leaves of this plant are extremely rich in polysaccharides (long-chain sugars) that give aloe its healing and anti-infection properties when used both externally and internally.

Glyconutrients are not "alternative medicine" or a new form of therapy. They are not intended to take the place of a doctor's care. Unfortunately, glyconutrients are not in the educational program by pharmaceutical companies presented to your doctor because they are natural supplements, not drugs. The American Medical Association, AMA, has sanctioned continuing medical education seminars so doctors can begin learning this vital new information.

However, since glyconutrients are often found in foods or plants, side effects may occur when eating any herb or supplement with glyconutrients. Use cautiously with iron supplements, history of copper deficiency, or history of vitamin B12 deficiency. I believe that glyconutrients are going to become a staple nutritional supplement for all six billion people on the face of this earth within the next two to five years. Glyconutrients are totally amazing. When I first found out about them I was absolutely in awe.

Keep in mind that glyconutrients are not responsible of treating or curing anything in particular They just help your body fend for itself . They help restore basic cellular functions to normal by supporting the cell-to-cell communication process and as a result the body can correct and repair itself.

The words "Glycomics" and "Glyconutrition" have sprung up in the vocabulary of health authorities around the world. These sciences refer to the study of biological sugars. Optimal health would be the effect, not necessarily a side effect. This is why to preserve our health food supplements are necessary.

However, many persons report health gains after having applied a supplement of glyconutrients. And that information includes whether it’s a healthy cell or not. When the immune system attacks healthy cells, it is called an Autoimmune Disorder. When the immune system fails to attack unhealthy cells, sickness and disease sets in the body.

Glyconutrients keep the body moving, and they also aid in keeping the immune system running in tip-top form to protect the body. Because autism is considered to be an autoimmune condition, this leads some to believe that a lack of these glyconutrients might contribute to a child developing autism. It has been discovered that when they are missing, our immune system is prohibited from functioning at full capacity.

Instead, these "eight essential sugars" go directly to the protein surface of each and every cell in our bodies to form a complex system for cellular communication, the "operating system" of the body. As your cells touch each other, they communicate over this "sugar code" everything a cell needs: nutrition, repair, hormones, etc.
