The Red Wine and Body Fat Burn

It is known in general that moderate consumption of alcohol is advantageous to bones in men and postmenopausal women.  In men, high liquor intakes generally lower the BMD level.

This suggests that there is a stronger association between BMD and beer or wine, relative to other liquors. It is inferred   that constituents other than ethanol may contribute to bone health.

The consumption of one or two after lunch or dinner glasses of wine may prove beneficial to human health in general. This is mainly attributed to the poly-phenolic composites present, which have besides the mopping effect of hydroxylic free radicals associated with ageing, other useful phenomena.

Reservatrol, also known as Sit1 activator, is the main ingredient present in red wine, thought to trick the body in thinking it is sort of calories, switching on to burn fat instead. The compound engages the SIRT1 receptor, which the sirtuins also target, but with far higher affinity. The pharmaceutical GSK Company in USA1 has already developed sirtis which showed promise to possible cure to diabetes of type II mellitus.

The compound  is a poly - phenolic found in a number of foods such as grapes, purple grape juice, red wine, peanuts, and some berries. The compound is the primary element that is responsible for their long life and unusually good health. It is assumed to turn on the longevity gene within the body, called the SIRT1 gene. Whilst undergoing the rigors of scientific investigation in laboratories across the world, it was found to be the only known to have the ability to activate the SIRT1 gene - only severe caloric restriction (CR) has been shown to manipulate this difficult to achieve genetic expression.

Mammals possess seven gene sirtuins (SIRT1-7) that occupy different sub cellular compartments such as the nucleus (SIRT1, -2, -6, -7), cytoplasm (SIRT1 and SIRT2) and the mitochondria (SIRT3, -4 and -5). Sirtiun SRT17201 can prevent weight gain even at high fat diet, boosting the athletic performance at the same time. Related compounds are already tested in humans.

Sirtuin was initially found and named sir2. There are seven known enzymes sirt i1-7) that act as on cellular regulation, as sir2 does in yeast. They have been proposed as a chemotherapeutic target for type II diabetes mellitus

Reservatrol interacts with multiple molecular targets, and damaged cells of b in humans it is shown that oral doses of resveratrol may reduce beta amyloid plaque associated with aging changes in the brain, skin, gastric, colon, esophageal, prostate, and pancreatic cancer, and leukemia.

The gene expression analysis indicated that the addition of resveratrol however, opposed the alteration of 144 out of 153 gene pathways changed by the high-fat diet.  The insulin and glucose levels in mice on the high-fat+resveratrol diet were closer to the placebo standard diet than to the mice on the high-fat diet alone.

The common pharmaceutical drugs described so far for slimming protocols, generally inhibit uptake of the neurotransmitters such as noradrenalin, dopamine and serotonin in the brain, thus suppressing hunger and leading to an energy deficit which causes the body to burn fat.

However, the excessive consumption of alcohol in whatever liquor, and, from whatever source or beverage derived from, is not warranted.  It can invariably lead to serious diseases and ailments such as increased incidence of liver diseases, diabetes, glaucoma gastric dysfunction and others.
