Top 4 Excuses That Keep People From Reaching Their Goals!

 Not Reaching your Goals?
One Reason Is Having Unrealistic Goals

Set your expectations too high -- trying to lose 20 pounds in a month or vowing never to eat chocolate again -- and you're likely to slip up often, making you feel defeated and hopeless.

Here's The Fix:
Make it as easy as possible to achieve small successes on a regular basis.

For example, setting a weight-loss goal of losing 10 pounds before your class reunion gives you only one chance to succeed.

On the other hand, setting goals like avoiding the office vending machine or choosing the stairs over the elevator offers opportunities to pat yourself on the back every day.

Focusing on accomplishments builds confidence. "Research shows that the more you believe you can lose weight, the more likely you are to actually do it.

Top 4 Excuses that keep people from reaching their goals!

1. I'm Too Tired "Unless you're incredibly sleep deprived or jet-lagged, there's no reason not to exercise when you're tired. Working out will Rev you up!

2. I'm too busy Many people don't exercise because they feel weighed down with work, but a good sweat session will make you more productive on the job. You'll have less stress, a clearer head and a better perspective. "You can actually get more work done after your workout than before.

3. Comparing yourself with others. "Comparing yourself with others is unrealistic and often leads to feelings of frustration, which can sabotage your workouts.

4. I'm too sore from yesterday's workout Light exercise the day after an intense workout may help you recover faster. When you lift weights, you cause microtears in your muscles that then mend, making the muscle even stronger. Exercise increases blood flow, nourishing the muscles with oxygen and removing waste products.

Have You Read The Book The Slight Edge?
The things you do daily do make a difference.
Now if you miss a day or 2 or 3 it won't kill you, but over time it can.

We know that doing cardio 20 minutes a day is something we should do everyday. But, then we miss a day, then another and so on.

We know what foods are good for us & what foods we should avoid everyday. But, then we miss a day, or eat wrong a day then it's another, another and so on. The small things we do each day will & do make a difference.

This week write down your fitness goals.
Make sure to make your goals as detailed as possible.

Now, write down what you will do each day that will help you reach this goal, be specific so if someone else were to read it they would know exactly what you were going to do. Make the small changes that are easy to do, but can be hard to do too!
