Video Marketing is a fun and free way to brand yourself and generate leads to your business. YouTube is one the most used sites on the internet today, worldwide. YouTube is owned by Google and the search engines love content videos. With the right keywords, your video could rank high on a content page.
Set up a YouTube account is you have not done so already. This is the best site to upload your video to. Make sure that you video follow the rules of YouTube’s agreement.
Here are 5 easy steps about how to make a successful video.
1- A camera. It doesn’t matter what type of camera you use. It could even be a flip camera, your cell phone or your computer camera. As long as it can record audio and video, your set.
2- Background. If this is done indoors, make sure that the background doesn’t have anything distracting and is tidy. Beer cans lying around or a messy, cluttered room makes the viewer look at the objects instead of paying attention to what you have to say. It’s a good idea to shot videos outdoors in nature or while you are having fun.
3- Clothing. Wear something that is neat and tidy. A suit or dress is not necessary, but you should be well groomed and come across as someone that takes care and is sure of themselves.
4- Look at your audience. When telling your story, look directly in the lens of the camera as though you are speaking with someone and looking them right in the eyes. This way, your viewer will feel as the message is for them personally. You want to establish contact.
5- Subject. You can talk about the weather, your dog, or even have your dog in the video to make you real. Talk about your story. How you got to where you are today or how you made the decision to change your life. Let people relate to you and get to know the real you. Remember, people follow people, not businesses.
Bonus Step. Take action now! Don’t should all over yourself tomorrow. Put a video out everyday and see what happens. You will be amazed.
