Let's face it, despite the proliferation of online marketing, hand-held ads still provide a different kind of experience compared to online banners. People are already constantly bombared with email marketing and tasks that require the daily use of the Internet that when they get home, the computer is the last thing they want to turn on. Take advantage of this by offering a breath of fresh air to your consumers with vibrant and well-designed printed ads.

But what if you have more to tell your customers and don’t know how else to do it? Booklet printing is definitely the answer.

Making a good booklet can be difficult if you don’t know what details to focus on. A booklet has more space than your typical advertisement which means you have more things you need to worry about.

1. The first thing to think about is the kind of information you want to present. Quite often, booklets are more than just an advertisement. They more importantly provide valuable information that educates the consumers on how a certain product or service can be of benefit to them. For instance, someone who handles taxes might provide booklets explaining various tax laws and other financial problems people face on a regular basis. Write your booklet content such that you speak from the shoes of the consumers. And then as you go along, you can start shedding some light onto the solutions offered by your company's products and services.

2. The look and feel of your booklet is as important as its contents--maybe even more significant. Just as with any kind of advertising, you should consider exactly what style of pictures to use and what color scheme would suit your business and appeal to your audience best. From the front cover to the back cover of your booklets, you want to make sure that your design triggers curiosity and amusement, impress and persuades, and provides a certain level of satisfaction to your readers. If your design is too bland, your readers will only end up criticizing your ad without even listening to what products your business can offer.

3. Ease of use should be another consideration. Place a table of contents at the beginning of your catalog, just as any other kind of book would have. Are they going to want to jot down notes about the information you’re giving them? Why not leave the last few pages blank and be dedicated only for taking down notes?

4. Make sure that your booklet's flow of information is appropriately sequenced and easy to follow. There should be a good progression of topics from the beginning to the end that leads to a clear and specific conclusion that you want your readers to chew on for a better recall. Don’t just shove in a lot of various details all over the place. Have an effective structure to avoid cluttered bits of information to best convey your point.

5. Good use of headlines is another way of getting your point across. Make sure all key points are properly emphasized and highlighted so that if someone is flipping quickly through your booklet, they can still get an idea on what your booklet is about. Bear in mind that just because your booklet has lesser pages than others doesn't mean that you have a better chance at people reading it. No matter how few your pages are, make sure that you use headlines and sub-headlines to emphasize the important points of your business and services.

Booklet printing is a wonderful way of communicating detailed information to your customers. But just like any other kind of advertising, you need to do it right for it to be effective.
