Before we look at the advantages and disadvantage of private label rights products, you must first understand that this article is not talking about resale rights. Private label rights also known as PLR products are not the same as resale right products. PLR products allow you as the owner to change every aspect of the product including adding your name as the creator. Private label rights products can include such things as software, graphical files, e-books, reports, and articles. You can change any portion of the item including all links, title, or whatever.

Let’s look at the disadvantages first. Remember, when you find products with private label rights, others are also buying these items so they will not be unique. In some cases, the original creator will only allow a certain amount of the item to sell, but that means there are that many individuals out there with the same exact product.

There is good news even with this disadvantage and that is you have the rights to change anything you wish. You can take the article or report and re-write it, change it around using some of the same information, change the title and more. You can rearrange the chapters, leave out chapters, or add more chapters. The choice is yours to make the product as original as you desire without working as hard as you would need to do in order to create the product from scratch.

The advantages of private label rights products truly outweigh the disadvantages.

The first advantage is that even though others may have the same content, you have in front of you all the research and information that is need for quality content. In the form of an e-book, you have several chapters of research that would take you hours to compile on your own.

The second advantage is that there are no outbound links in the private label content. You can place your own outbound links in the e-book or at the end of the article as well as any of your affiliate links that you deem important.

The third advantage is that you save money. Hiring someone to write an e-book for you and be very expensive. In most cases, $10 per page is the best you will be able to find for a freelance writer. If you need a 50-page e-book, you are looking at $500.

The fourth advantage is that you can add or delete as you see fit to fit your purpose.

The fifth advantage is that you can add your name or brand the product with your information. This makes you the expert. You will be providing your customers with information and research with your name and you will become credible.

The majority of times, private label rights products are produced by experts in the field. The products are high quality, professionally written, and of course give you true and exact information on the subject matter.
