Labelling your Company or Branding your company with labels

Labels are a way of enticing the customer to look at a product, whether it is a label showing the logo with information and descriptions or just a simple price label – every product sold has some sort of label.

Labels can come in many different forms and sizes and have an adhesive backing.

The types of adhesive are either permanent – a label that sticks good and fast and cannot be removed without ripping.  Peelable – a label which will peel off just by flicking at a corner and peeling back, this will not leave an adhesive residue.  Freeze – a label that has been specially designed to go into chill cabinets and freezers.  Also Normac which is an outside label, able to withstand outside conditions even in the winter!

Labels have many uses from name tags to identifying products, advertising products and just simply saying a statement as in a car bumper label. Labels are also known as stickers, tags, tickets, sticky things, badges etc.

For retailers using labels they can increase the sale of selected items by as much as 94%.  It is a very cost effective form of advertising, as customers are able to respond directly and immediately to the promotional offer displayed on the label.

Smaller retailers by having their name or logo on a price label can promote their store and it also gives a good image as it gives the customer a feeling that the store is of a professional standard. An eye-catching label can increase the amount of time a customer spends in front of a product.

Retailers have a choice of a wide range of price label sizes, shapes and colours, different typefaces and design options which will maximize and individualize their products.  Shop owners should not underestimate the impact that a label can have; unmarked products can remain on the shelves and to have the business name and logo on your products is a very good marketing advantage.
