Affiliate can get their consumers to their vendors by writing free articles about relevant information that pertain to the products that they are selling.  For example, imagine that I am selling a dog training product.  I might write 5 articles with tips on how to train a German Shepard.  Then I would write 5 more articles with tips to train a beagle.  Then I would 5 more articles with tips to train a poodle, and so on.  And then I would submit my articles to two or three different free article directories for publication.  In the authors bio box I would put in a comment “For more information out dog training, please visit my website at (My Vendors Unique Web Address)”.  This method does take some time but it is very effective in getting consumers who are looking for information about a product to click through and make a sale.

Pay-Per-Click Marketing

If you are looking to make money online as a affiliate right away, then the pay-per-click method is for you.  Come up with a budget of how much you would like to spend to get top ranking with Google and create ads on Google Ad Words.  With this method you can pay as little as 5 cents per click to get your ad listed on Goggles search engine on the right hand side and you only pay if someone clicks on your add.  So it would be key to make sure that your vendors’ sales page is top notch to convince the consumer that they need to buy the product.  If your vendor has a poor sales page, you will run into the risk of having a lot of click and very little sales.  So make sure you plan accordingly.
