Here are several financial and time differences between starting an internet affiliate marketing business and starting a traditional business. Fortunately, it does not take hundreds of thousands of dollars to be making money with affiliate marketing.
If you own a traditional business, then you must have a place to run that business, right? In other words, you need a building that is purchased, leased or rented. However, with an affiliate marketing business, all you need is a website to make money with affiliate online marketing.
The building in which you operate your traditional business from must have utilities, such as water and electricity. However, the only utilities that are required with an affiliate marketing business are web hosting and an autoresponder. There is a huge difference in start-up costs between earning income with an affiliate marketing internet business vs. a traditional business.
Gaining paying customers is another difference between making money with an affiliate marketing business, compared to a brick and mortar business. With a traditional business, a business owner advertises and then the customers must come to the store. However, with an affiliate internet marketing business, we (the affiliates) advertise for much less money. All business is conducted online so customers do not have to physically come to us.
The last difference is that with a traditional brick and mortar business, you must commute to your work place. But, with your online affiliate marketing business, when you wake up you are already at your work place – your home, all set to be making money with affiliate marketing.
