Watson</a> After taking a lot of time and energy to sign up for all those survey companies out there, some people end up feeling a bit disappointed and ripped off.  If you are one of those people, I can understand where you are coming from, because I came into it expecting more than I was getting, too.  The truth is, with the right mindset, paid surveys are an excellent source of additional income.  Here's my take: 1.  Don't expect to get rich and Quit Your Job.  This is Extra Income.  Additional cash.  Nothing is guaranteed, so you have to remember that you just get what you get, and nothing more. Believing that you will be able to meet all your needs with survey income alone will only lead to a surprising reality check later. 2. Get a Free Survey Company List.     If you haven't started yet, the biggest buzz-kill is paying for a survey company list, and then finding out that you aren't going to make $75 or more per day, every day.  There are plenty of free lists available -- and some survey companies don't allow themselves to be placed on incentivized sites where they are not freely accessible, so you'll miss out. 3.  Keep a Positive Attitude.  It's easy to see why people can develop a bad attitude when they expect to make a ton of cash, and then don't.  But a bad attitude only leads you toward quitting doing surveys altogether.   Re-adjust your expectations, because that horrible attitude will only get you further away from your goal of earning extra cash, than closer to it.  The frequent and consistent surveys don't pay you $75 each, but they do only take 10-20 minutes on average and earn you between $2-5 (or more).  So, where else can you earn extra cash at 12 am in your pajamas?  Seems like a pretty sweet deal to be able to plop down on my couch with a bowl of ice cream and my laptop earn more than minimum wage at the same time.  You get the larger payouts too, but don't expect them every day. All in all, I've found Paid Surveys to be a great way to earn extra cash each month.  If you are proactive and organized, you can consistently make a few hundred a month.  Some months can be much more profitable, but the higher payouts and focus groups are not as frequent.  Keep a positive attitude and you will enjoy the extra cash you make.About the Author: C.D.
