Printing Brochures Are Not Only For Professionals

Brochure printing is not only for professionals. With digital technology, printing brochures are now as accessible for small businesses, projects and even students along with the typical big business ventures. It is easy to make your brochure printing designs look professional and good even though you are not. It is very simple and easy to do.

Here are a few tips.

Use a Template:
The easiest way to make your brochure look professional is for you to use a brochure template. There are a lot of professional looking and well designed brochure templates out there that you can use for your color brochures. Most can usually obtain for free especially if you search for them over the Internet. It is as simple as looking for the professional looking design that you want, and then downloading it to your computer. You only have to edit the template a bit so that you can customize the design for your own brochure content.

Be wary though of the file format of the template, and make sure that you can open it once you download it. Your best bet would be the typical image formats, JPG, BMP, GIF and PNG. Since almost any kind of desktop publishing software can use them. Of course for more professional users, documents like Photoshop .PSD file is also welcome as a template.

Whichever the case though, your brochures will look professional and will be extra effective thanks to your use of templates. You only had to exert a little effort, and you already get a professional looking layout. It is brochure printing at its fastest and best.

DO NOT use patched together images:
Of course if you are feeling a little artistic, you can also opt to create your own professional looking brochure design. What we recommend here is that you do not use any of those patched together “photoshopped” images as the cover or content of your brochure. Patched together designs are a mark of a novice brochure designer. A good designer does not need to patch together images using fuzzy digital erasers and merges. He or she will compose an image that is already primed for a brochure. Patched together images will not look as good as a professional brochure can possible be, and if you want to look professional, creating patched up works is hardly the best solution. In fact it will make you look unprofessional, even amateurish.

Aim for a standard tri-fold:
Also, always try to aim to print brochures using the standard tri-fold configuration. Tri-folds are basically an industry standard for brochure printing and it never ever fails. In fact most brochures fail in part because their folds are done in weird places and configurations. People will only get annoyed at brochures like that with lots of details and folds that are hard to assemble and disassemble. Amateurs think that wild folds make them look unique, but it is only a sign of compensating for the lack of meaningful content. So use the tri-fold configuration and you should have the look of a professional.

Print Professionally:
Lastly, though you can try to look professional outwardly through your brochure design, there is no substituting a professional printer. Your actual brochure should be printed by professionals since they have more printing options and can do the job well. Anything less than that and you may be facing a good and professional looking design, with shoddy printing work and paper. So hire a professional brochure printing company if you can. This will totally hide any deficiencies you have in your in the “professionalism” in your brochures.

As you can see, professional looking brochures only require a few decent techniques and you are done. Remember these tips well and you will not have any trouble with brochure printing with a professional touch. People will hardly know that you are just a novice.
