I like cheese and wine and not in any particular order.
Here I sit in this vast warehouse housing the many options of price labeling.
There are various pricing guns (that will be another interesting story!!) and many, many labels of many different colours and adhesives all stored here waiting patiently.
For this story I am a genuine Sato white 2/9 peelable label. I am here in my box of 15,000 labels waiting patiently to be picked.
Patience is not something I have much of – but I wait patiently and quietly – thinking about my future – weather it will be long before I am loaded into the 2/9 B03 pricing gun.
Suddenly my cardboard house is moved and I find myself and my fellow label reels jostling together as we are wrapped and labeled for dispatch.
We can feel movement and jostling as we are moved along various means of delivery – until we are delivered by hand to a small gift shop by the sea!
I am unpacked and loaded into the gun – and yes it is a 2/9 pricing gun – the dream of every Sato white 2/9 peelable label. This is what I have been waiting for the moment of truth to be priced and placed on a gift – my own freedom – to show myself off to all who look in my direction, to wait to be purchased by a customer!!
So now here I sit on a beautiful shelf staring at all the customers, with my price displayed for all to see, bright and clear – waiting patiently and quietly to be bought.
Suddenly I am picked up and turned around, I can feel fingers peeling me off – I have served my purpose – I have been used as a Sato white 2/9 peelable label should be. I feel myself folded and then floating and hitting the deep hole where I end my days.
I was a genuine Sato 2/9 white peelable label and I had been dispatched from my quaint gift shop by the sea (I know my friends could have gone to larger places – but I am happy to be here). I have shown my price to the best of my ability – clearly and prominently – my product has been sold and I have been gently peeled off and discarded – but I don’t mind as I know there are plenty more of my genuine Sato 2/9 cousins waiting to be used.
