Other possible responsibilities include document preparation, editing and preparing sales materials. This job is usually more of a 9-5 type of situation as opposed to a ‘as you will’ job.

Ad typing can be one of the best online data entry jobs for anyone with a little bit of sales knowledge. Typically service provider’s type ads and place them on the internet. Payment generally comes in the form of a commission when a purchase is made because of one of your ads. In many cases, sales materials and information will be provided to you by the client, you will simply have to input the information into various websites and ensure proper placement of the ads. Anybody with a gift for marketing would be a perfect fit for this unique data entry job.

Additional Skills

While traditional online data entry jobs require little more than a word processor and the ability to carefully input data, the more unique data entry positions require some specialized skills. There are three key skills to hone and hype in any job bid you place. Organization is key. Learning to efficiently manage your time will be an asset in both the virtual assistant field and the ad field. Excellent writing skills will allow you to perform both of these unique positions at a much higher level and thus garner you higher pay. Finally, computer skills that include more than just spreadsheets and word processing are helpful. Publishing and graphics software knowledge will come in handy for both of these unique positions.

Things to Watch Out For

As with many of the online data entry jobs available on the net, there are several things to watch out for when bidding on these two unique positions. First, ad typing is not an affiliate program. While affiliate programs can be a nice way to make some money, they have their drawbacks. Be sure to thoroughly review the proposal to make sure it is a job and not an affiliate program. Second, the virtual assistant job is very much like a ‘real life’ job. You will have set hours and will likely be required to have a land line – in some cases you will field calls for your client. Be sure you understand all of the requirements of the position before signing on.
