When it comes to booklet printing, you must not hold back on the cost. It is not like flier printing or letter printing where you are printing for mass production. They respond better to better looking covers, and they trust them more than the cheap kind. This is just a fact of life, and you must flow with it by avoiding cheap booklet printing.
Will deteriorate early: Next, on the more practical side of things, cheap booklets also mean they are weak ones. A cheap booklet is cheap because the materials for doing it are more affordable to buy. The paper stock might be just the normal paper used in most offices. The binding process for the booklet might be weak and easily torn apart. Inks may fade early and the color quality might not be as good as you want them to be. This means that your booklet can basically be “undone” before a month or so is out. If you want your booklets to last a long time, you need to invest in more high quality materials. Cheap booklets cannot achieve something like this.
Cheap booklet = Cheap you: Lastly, a cheap booklet will become a representation of you and your business. Most people will relate a cheap print medium as the way you and your company do things. For some people that might be considered smart (being prudent and all), but for others it means you are not serious with your business. What is more since booklets are basically a public relations tool that projects your image and corporate philosophy, a cheap booklet will basically tarnish your good image and your corporate philosophy might not come as good as it should be to your audiences. You professional image and your company’s public identity is carried by your booklets as well. If you do not take care of it, it is you who will suffer in terms of a less than ideal public image.
So, as you can see, there are a lot of things against cheap booklet printing. Booklets require a certain kind of attention where you must not spare any cost. So always invest significantly in your booklets to get better results from them. Just cut your budget in another way so that you can still save for other things.
