In the offline world of business a company or store needs to have customers coming through the doors or they go out of business. The same theory applies to an online website. This way your reader sees you as a business person that is willing to share your knowledge rather than always trying to sell something. If they trust you and your information they will click through your authors box and visit your site to see just what you are marketing. 

If your readers feel they can trust you by reading your articles that are helpful content then should they join your downline they have the confidence that you will be a helpful sponsor in your program and not one that will take their money then leave them to learn and prosper on their own. Master the free methods first and you may not need to venture into the paid methods.
