Where can you find the best handicapping systems and handicapping aids as low as $5? You can find greyhound and harness handicapping systems, free articles and tips to help you win at the track from someone who shares over 30 years of handicapping experience at http://ebnetr.com
If you've ever picked a winner at the dog track, you know how exciting it is to see it cross the finish line. Of course, it's even nicer when you go up to the window and cash your ticket. Having someone hand you money for being right is a great feeling.
So, how do you make sure that this happens again and again at the greyhound track? Of course, no one wins every bet, but there are ways to make sure that you win more than you lose. After all, winning is why we go to the track, isn't it? So, why not make it happen as often as possible?
First of all, if you want to pick winners consistently, you have to BE consistent as far as your handicapping goes. When you go over the program, do you have a system? Or do you just try to find dogs that "look good" whatever that means?
Having a system is 90% of winning at the greyhound track, over and over again. If you find a method that works, stick with it. Make it better by "tweaking it" a little, ideally on paper rather than with real bets. If it doesn't work, don't stick with it. Find something else that DOES work.
Talk to people who have been handicapping for a long time. They can give you hints and tips that it would take you a lot longer to learn on your own. Don't just keep to yourself at the track. If you're not listening, you're not learning.
When you pick a winner, go over the process you used to pick it. Try to apply this process when you go over other dogs' lines. Is this a pattern that you can spot that indicates that a dog is ready to win? If it is, you've found a really important piece of the handicapping puzzle and you should incorporate it into your method.
When you find things that don't work, discard them. Don't keep trying to make something fit a pattern that isn't really there. If you somehow get the idea that dogs from a certain kennel win when they're in the 2 box, just because a couple of them do on the same program, that's not a handicapping tool. It's a coincidence.
But if you notice that - at your track - dogs in the 1 box who break have a big advantage, that IS something you can use to pick winners, time after time. Just make sure that you keep track of it, because this is the kind of thing that changes over time.
