Investing in Gamblers

In the future, online gambling will involve professional gamblers and something I call gambling investment.  If people can play the stock market online, why not play the ponies online too through gamblers that will invest money in gambling?

Today we have investment firms people can invest their money through.  In the future, we could have gambling firms that will have professional gamblers that will gamble with investors' money.  One firm might specialize in horse and dog racing.  Another firm might specialize in sports betting.  Most firms will deal with casino gambling.

If one of the pros has a good track record of winning, there might be over 1000 people that will invest an average of $100 in him.  If he can turn the $100,000 into $400,000, the investors would make an average of $350 with the gambler making $50,000.  In the international competitions, there might be 100,000 people investing an average of $50 in the gambler.  If he turned the $5 million into $15 million, the investors would receive an average of $120 and the gambler would receive $3 million.  Not bad for maybe two days of "work."

There will also be lottery investments.  If someone seems to be lucky in picking the right numbers in lotteries, people could invest in them.  A million people might give someone an average of $10 each to have him play a couple dozen lotteries worth a total of $300 million.  If he won that amount, the investors would receive an average of $250 and the gambler would make $50 million.  Even after taxes, the gambler and the investors would make out pretty good.  If the money is enough to allow the gambler to play a total of 50 lotteries to win $1 billion, the investors would receive $800 each and the gambler would earn $200 million.  After taxes that might be over $110 million.

Thanks to online gambling investment, some of the best gamblers might become billionaires.  Investors could pick up some cash.   At the start when there are fewer people willing to invest in gamblers, more money could be made.  Dividing $10 million between 100 people would give them $100,000 each while dividing $1 billion between 100,000 people would give them $10,000 each.

People will be able to invest in the gambling firms and receive stock.  $10,000 might give an investor 100 shares of stock.  If the $10,000 investment becomes $100,000, the dividends might be $5000 every year.  If gambling generates $1 trillion in revenues for the firms annually, the investors will make out very well.  And the professional gamblers will become wealthy people too.

I'm interested in unusual investment systems. I have dealt with Applied Capitalism and investment stores on my cable TV program. Maybe online gambling will become serious with gambling firms investing in gambling.
