The problem is mainly a money problem. In regards to off track betting, gambling has been renamed to gaming and the atmosphere has been changed to reflect entertainment and technology. One issue is that more and more people are turning to gaming on the Internet which can be done very simply from ones cell phone.

It was thought that the typical off track horse betting needed to be an inviting social betting environment if it planned to survive. Opponents claim that off track betting is like a hangout or a friendly club with the same group of people every time. Many go to just socialize and these places are just too convenient. So really people have a lot of choices when it comes to laying down their dollar on their favored horse. They can physically go to the track, join in off track horse betting, or enjoy a quiet evening at home placing bets on the Internet.
