Have you ever known the fact that there are about 140 million domain names and approximately 90% of them rely on well-known websites to increase their traffic? The reason is quite simple and obvious. It is because current web environments are centralized to those big companies and one becomes adapted to their way, as if that is the only way to advertise.
Those big companies certainly have ability and skills to give you traffics only if you pay them. Consequently, you become more and more relying on their services and that is their intention. Those big companies or the millions of small websites. The answer is the latter one if they are well networked and organized.
Affiliation is the term to describe a partnership between two or more parties. And there are many ways to achieve this affiliation. Suppose there is a flower website and it is advertising online to sell their flowers. And there could be thousands of other flower websites who would follow the same suit. They are obviously competing each other but the winners are advertising agencies ironically. So, instead of making inquiries about advertisements, the flower websites can be networked together and invite many potential visitors who are interested in flowers. This can create synergy effects and bring more visitors to their group.
So the question is how to organize and re-group those similar websites together.
