Is wanting your mission in life? It is for a lot of people.
When goals come into the equation it can be a very important part.
Question? How do you choose your life to be?
Did you notice, I said choose, and not want? Most of us want things in their life, starting from when they are very young. Most children are asked “ what do you want for your birthday, what do you want for Christmas”?
Choosing is entirely different, and it goes on through their life. Think about it, wanting an ice cream is wanting or desiring something, It is a feeling not an action, right? Choosing an ice cream or a chocolate involves reaching out and grabbing what you have chosen.
So you are wanting a new car you saw in the newspaper. Now feel what its like to actually choose your new car, maybe you rub you hand over the gleaming paintwork or sit in the driving seat. Imagine yourself owning it.
Choosing involves a definite decision to take action.
Now maybe your getting a sense of how to approach setting your goals.
There are so many ways we are told to set up your goals.
One field say wanting is wrong and no way will you get anywhere using this method. No? You should set your goals, not wanting, but jus introducing the feeling that you already the car, house, boat.
You are sitting in it in your drive, you are driving along through the main street.
Anyway you have made your choice of methods, you have chosen, which brings me to another point in choosing not wanting.
Amazingly most of us regularly achieve our choices, few get what they want. Lets put it this way. You made the
Decision to holiday in Spain, and you went didn’t you?
You decided to move house, buy a car and mainly you did what you chose to do.
When you decided to holiday in Spain, you created a plan didn’t you? You set dates, you set a budget, and you saved up. Think back, over the year when you decided to (choose) Whatever it was, you immediately began working on it, you did just that. Right?
Here is something to think about.
In Yale University graduation class.
How many set long term goals.------------80% said Yes
How many had written down their goals---- 3% said Yes
25 years later the 3% were worth more financially than the 97% put together. Work that one out.
So another commitment in setting your goals is get them
Committed to paper, next, develop your action plan, because it is not going to happen on its own.
Question?
Are you ready for commitment? Your future is a serious ( yet fun ) business. Goals require commitment. There is a difference between just being involved and being really committed to your self. Can you handle it?
There is also a saying; The world stands aside for the person who knows where they are going. So you must recognize that to reach your goals you must grow personally and have the right mental attitude. Any successful marketer will tell you this.
You may want to checkout a performance planner of your activity and at the very least you will need a journal
Question?
How can you be passionate in bed with your partner.. If you are not passionate in life?
Goals are your future, whatever you choose for the future, you must enjoy what you are doing now.
Life is what you make it, that’s what they say, and if I can’t make it tomorrow I better make it through today.
Here is a goal for you: I allow myself to have a net income of $$$ a month and a positive net worth of $$$$$$ and allow myself to be paid well for carrying on the business of whatever) efficiently and successfully.
That’s it for now folks.
