Duplicating a design

One of the most frequently request from our On Line Printing Site is manufacturing a serial of Business Cards to be used by staff members of a small organization such as: Insurance agency, Real estate agency, Lawyers office and so on.

The general idea is producing Business Cards designed with the same background, with the firm's “Logo” and the typical colors characterizing it, only the names, job's titles and phone numbers are different, according to the personnel involved.

In most Printing Sites I know, one can design and order one example of let's say 250 Business Cards all alike and then perform a procedure called: “Repeat your order”.  Repeating an order means asking the Printing Site to make another 250 Business Cards exactly as the first ones. But – you can redesign the product and change a few details like: name, title and phone numbers. It can be done by the user because the program takes him to the “Preview” screen to confirm his request. From there he can go back one step and return to the “Editing” screen and make all those changes.

1. The “Duplicating” procedure is a little bit simpler and much more comfortable, easier to be performed and quicker. When the user wants to order  Business Cards for his working place mates          to be looked the same as his, only several details are different, he clicks on “Duplicating” and the program sends him directly to the “Editing” screen.

It seems to be a very tiny difference yet it's not. When it comes to pricing it's another story. I'll use an example to prove my case: If you are a boss of an Accountants office and you have 9 more employees who are working for you and you want to issue them Business Cards designed with their specific details of name, title and phone numbers, but the background to be all the same like yours, and let's assume you want to equip them with 250 Business Cards, and such an order will cost you 10$ it means that 10 repeatings will cost you 100$.

"Duplicating” order is priced by a way of progressive dynamic formula. For the first pack of 250 Business Cards you'll pay 10$. Every package duplicated will cost you 1$ less until you reach an amount which is not profitable for the Print Shop. Let's say we are talking about 5$ deck floor bottom price. So you'll have to pay for your 10 packs of 250 business cards: 10$ + 9$ + 8$ + 7$ + 6$ + 5 times 5$ giving all and all 65$.

We have a difference now, don't we?
