Why Cornhole is the Best Game Ever

Unless you have been asleep for the last decade or so, you know that Cornhole is fast becoming the most popular game around. Not only is Cornhole increasing in popularity, it is getting close to challenging some of the older and more established games for the title of "The "Best Game Ever Invented". If you have never played the game, or have only had the chance to toss the cornhole bags once or twice, then you are probably wondering how this simple little game can claim the crown of pastime royalty.

Once you finish this article you will wonder no more...

Let's compare Cornhole to a few of the more popular games and pastimes, shall we?

First, Cornhole requires only one simple skill, and that is the ability to toss a light and little cornhole bag about 20 feet. The object is to get the cornhole bag in a hole, or at the very least, to come to rest on a pretty good sized platform. That sounds pretty easy, right? Now let's compare that to bowling. Bowling requires you to lift up a 10 to 16 pound ball, do a little dance for 6 or 7 feet, and then toss said ball with extreme power and absolute precision down a narrow alley with the objective of knocking over 10 pins in one throw. Do you see it now? Cornhole beats bowling hands down, and besides that, when was the last time you saw someone pull a bowling alley out of their trunk and set it up in your back yard? That's what I thought.

Second, Cornhole doesn't require any special skill or acting ability, and even a small child can play. Now let's compare that to charades. While charades doesn't require platforms or cornhole bags, most people are terrible charade players. I know I am.

Finally, Cornhole doesn't require any special knowledge or talent. If you have ever played Trivial Pursuit, Pictionairy, Cranium, or any similar game, then you know exactly what I am talking about. When you are playing Cornhole, you don't have to draw, mold clay, or rack your brain for "the significance of NCC 1701"  (The call sign of the Starship Enterprise, in case you were wondering). The only thing you have to do when you play Cornhole is to toss a little bag into a hole.

And one more thing. Cornhole is fun. A lot of fun.
