A child has been compared to a flower. Look at a newborn child. The child knows nothing about the world. It is so innocent of the world and surprised that how it is in this place. All these months, it was so protected in the mother's womb and suddenly in the world of light yes, the child is surprised. But worse may be yet to come for the unfortunate children of the world. They may get abused. Many of us think that outsiders abuse children. Most of us think about sexual abuse when we come across the word child abuse. But that is not so. Let me tell you the hell the child may experience at home.

Why some parents abuse their children is a matter for psychologists to decide. For me, it is enough to say that God gives us a child to protect, love and bring up in the best way possible. In the scheme of God there is nothing like child abuse. It is like picking up a flower, throwing it down and crushing it. Imagine the agony of a child when it has abusive parents. The morning does not bring any cheer to such children. They may be given late breakfast or no food at all. They may be physically thrashed for a smallest mistake. Parents have handy torture tools for such children. A hot metal, a matchbox, a stick and other such objects are very handy to threaten and hurt a child. What do you think of such parents? What is the agony of such a child? Who is worse- Hitler or such parents?

Children need care. Children need love and pampering. Children need protection. Please give your child so much love that it can carry on with that for his/her whole life. Abusing children is the greatest sin. If you ever doubt that a child is being abused, please report to the nearest police station immediately. Please help children who are so unfortunate.

By: Kathy | 20-07-2008

Is there a developmental breach or arresting in child development that takes place when a adult is diagnosed as narcissistic? Is there a relationship between significant adolescent substance abuse/dependence and an adult having a narcissistic personality disorder? Would this happen as a result of an adolescent not effectively transcending a developmental milestone; in essense being stuck in normal childhood narcissism?
