Every building starts with a foundation. Whether a building will stand the test of time or not depends on the strength of the foundation. This also applies to marriage. If a marriage is not built on a solid foundation, it cannot support a happy home. The reason why many marriages around us have collapsed is just because they were contracted on a faulty foundation.

To build your marriage on the right foundation, you have to be sincere and open especially during courtship. Be sincere about your family, life, likes and dislikes. This will enable you make the required adjustments. There should be no pretensions.
Proper knowledge is an important foundation for a happy home. When you know the reason for going into marriage, have proper knowledge of what is expected of you when married, it reduces a lot of friction when you eventually marry.
