Whether he is arguing with a See n’ Say or taking a bite out of a “worm burger,” his hysterical routine keeps even the most active children glued to their seats. The Great Holtzie's sharp comedy reflexes guarantee fits of laughter and screams of delight. His hip and fresh form of children’s entertainment never condescends and always leaves the audience wanting more.

You thought throwing a birthday party was fun and simple, right? Sure, until you actually started planning the big bash. Now you're second guessing every detail. Who should you invite? How will you entertain the kids? Should you hire that popular caterer? Do kids really need pony rides, moon bounces, and face painters? More importantly, how much cash will all of this cost you?
Geez, no wonder you're stressed! Don't worry, it doesn't have to be so difficult! Your main goal should simply be keeping it fun. No matter what kind of party you decide to have, follow my top five tips and the rest will fall into place:
1. How Many Kids? I've seen lots of parties implode because parents insisted on inviting too many children. If your child is less than three years old, try not to invite more than ten kids. For children ages four to twelve, try to stop at fifteen guests (not counting adults). Remember, many children become totally overwhelmed in crowds.
2. For Kids, by Kids! Get your children involved in the party planning process. Let them have a say in the theme, location, guest list, and menu. They'll feel special if they helped plan the party (and making them feel special is the entire point here!)
3. How Long will the Bash Last? Do yourself a favor, and make sure you stop while the party is still fun. Less than 1 ½ hours is more than enough time for toddlers and preschoolers. Two hours is about right for older kids.
4. Gift Time! Imagine your child excitedly opening a pile of presents while the young gift-givers happily watch. Dream on! It's not going to happen! Opening gifts with very young children usually leads to chaos. Your child may love it, but the other kids are going to be bored. Even worse, some little ones may cry as they try to get their present back. When dealing with little kids, it is best to save the gift opening for later. You'll also be better able to keep track of who gave what, making thank-you cards easier to write.
5. Plan, Then Plan More! Make sure you have fall-back activities. Find out how long your hired entertainment will perform (that's me!) and then make sure you have plenty of fun planned for the rest of the party. Many parents think they have enough on the agenda, only to watch in dismay as the kids race through the games and activities in minutes. You never want a room full of sugar-crazed kids looking up at you screaming, "NOW WHAT?!?" If this tip has you freaked out, give me a call. I have plenty of ideas. In fact, ask about my "games package."
