If you have an unexpected bill and not enough funds to cover it immediately, payday loans can be very beneficial. A lot of us who live paycheck to paycheck may not have the funds saved that are necessary to deal with these financial problems right off hand, but if we know we are getting paid the following week, getting a payday loan is usually the way to go.
The requirements for payday loans are typically much fewer than are required for other kinds of credit, such as a formal loan with a bank or an application for a credit card. With payday loans, only a few criteria need to be met.
You must be 18 years of age.
You must have a checking account.
You have to have at least one (usually two) current pay stubs to prove that you have a source of income. After all, these are payday loans we are talking about here; it would not make much sense to give one to someone who does not have a payday coming to them.
A valid photo ID, such as a driver's license or state ID is also needed. This also means that you need to be a legal citizen of the United States or whatever country you live in.
Depending on what kind of loan you get with the payday loan service you choose, you can sometimes extend the period of your loan for an extra fee or added interest. The methods each service use and offers they extend to you will vary, but when you apply for a payday loan, you will usually be approved within 24 hours, which is part of why they are such a help in emergencies. Funds are available to you as quickly as possible and often, the very same day that you apply.
Be aware, though, that it can be easy to fall into the trap of using payday loans irresponsibly for extra spending instead of using them for necessities and emergencies. You can use payday loans for whatever you like as long as you can rely on yourself to pay them back on time, but try to only use them for necessities that you cannot live without.
Unexpected medical bills, vehicle repairs, or something equally important that affects your health or your ability to make a living. As long as you can follow these guidelines, you should do fine when using payday loans as a temporary fix for your financial problems.
