Injuries suffered as a result of automobile accidents can be severe and life altering. Do not admit fault or say you're "ok", even though this might be the natural polite thing to say, but do remain as calm and polite as possible.
Do not discuss the collision with anyone, except the police, your lawyer, your family or your own insurer. Get all the information you need to make a claim right away.
File a car accident report form usually required within 72 hours if you are injured or have over $1500 in vehicle damage.
