Cats – the Best Pet Animal

Cats are one of our favorite pet animals. They are small, cute and furry. They are considered as domestic animal and who would not like to have one as their pet? There are a huge variety of cats available from small and longhaired to huge and hairless ones. Cats are generally friendly towards humans, and will grow very affectionate if cared for and treated well. If you don’t pay enough attention to your cat it will very soon start trying to get your attention in different ways which may be anything from meowing to doing their business in a corner or on the carpet.

Cats are very territorial animals and take great offence when their turf is invaded. Invaders are quickly confronted by hissing and growling which may turn more aggressive if the intruder does not turn around. Cats are also skilled hunters and won’t let an opportunity to hone their skills pass them. Mice, birds and insects should all be careful when there’s a cat in the vicinity. Even smaller animals may fall victims of your cats hunting instinct, but this is as natural for your cat as sleeping.

If you live in a city, there may not be much space for your cat to venture outside, but this is in general not a problem for most species. Cats are very adaptable and can easily be happy and comfortable living their lives indoors at all times, However cats like to stay in control, so leave a little spot in the window for him to keep an eye on things that’s going on. You should also get some cat grass as grass is important for the cat’s digestive system. Fresh water and a clean litter box is the most important thing you can provide for your cat and will make your cat calmer and happier. In return you will get a companion for life!

Caring For Ducks From 6 weeks to 4 months

By: Mary Louise | 05/01/2010
After six weeks, the ducks can be fed entirely on locally produced feed--sweet potatoes, taro, banana, pumpkin, choko, etc. Anything good for people is good for ducks. The food must be cooked. To know how much feed to give to the ducks, follow this simple rule: If the ducks eat everything within half an hour and nothing is left, they are still hungry. Cook more next time. If after half an hour, the ducks start to wander away from the feed, and some of it is still left, they have had enough.
