This is a very placid breed of dog but does however make a sizable amount of noise with its very distinctive howl-type bark. This dog can put away quite a large amount of food for its size and will require a steady amount of exercise to prevent him from putting on excessive weight. The front legs are pointed outward sometimes causing limb problems. This is a good family dog with a lot of loyalty and love to give.
