But many doodle owners allow them to sleep on their bed and a snoring doodle is no laughing matter if it keeps their owner up all night. Goldendoodles provide companionship and love, like no other animal.  Many will disagree, but a true doodle fan will agree that their Goldendoodle companion is the best friend they've ever had.  But friend or no friend,  a Goldendoodle who snores loud enough to keep their companion awake at night can become a problem. Why do some Goldendoodles snore? Goldendoodles have various sleep patterns.  As with most dogs,  a Goldendoodle will spend most of their day sleeping off and on.  Goldendoodles completely resign all of their trust to their human companion which makes them more relaxed at night.  Sometimes they are so relaxed when sleeping in bed with their human companion that they won't even acknowledge someone coming home late at night.  They choose instead to simply cuddle and continue sleeping next to their pal. <img src="http://cdn.buzznet.com/assets/imgx/7/8/1/6/0/8/1/orig-7816081.jpg" /> They are so relaxed that they sleep very easily and very deeply.  Have you ever witnessed your Goldendoodle moving its paws or whimpering in his or her sleep?  Goldendoodles also dream!  We humans find this very amusing!  When a Goldendoodle enters the REM state,  you may find their paws twitching about or hear them growling or whimpering or barking softly as though they are dreaming about chasing after their favorite toy. Sometimes a Goldendoodle will be sleeping and snoring so heavily that it takes a few minutes to gently rouse them awake!  Some Goldendoodles also have varying breathing patterns.  Those who are prone to breathing heavily may also be those who snore heavily as well.  Breathing patterns can sometimes play a role in whether your <a href="http://www.igoldendoodle.com/" target="_blank" title="Goldendoodle">Goldendoodle </a>snores or not. As with humans who snore heavily and being annoying,  unfortunately this may hold true for the Goldendoodle who sleeps in the same room or bed as their human companions. But you may want to have your Goldendoodle checked out by your vet if you find that he or she constantly snores.  Just as humans can have obstructions that cause snoring,  Goldendoodles or any other breed of canine can have these issues, too. <img src="http://cdn.buzznet.com/assets/imgx/7/8/1/6/1/8/1/orig-7816181.jpg" /> Some Goldendoodles may be prone to specific allergic reactions that can constrict their airway.  They could also possibly have excess tissue that may inhibit proper breathing.  Your veterinarian could thoroughly examine your Goldendoodles' breathing passageway to ensure there are no obstructions.  Is your Goldendoodle overweight?  This could also be a cause for heavy snoring.  More flesh surrounding the throat can cause an obstruction that leads to snoring.  If your Goldendoodle is overweight,  changing his or her diet and getting plenty of exercise may reduce the snoring and also give his or her human companion  a quieter night. If your <a href="http://www.goldendoodleworld.com/" target="_blank" title="Goldendoodle">Goldendoodle</a> is not overweight, sometimes general facial features may be the root to snoring.  It is common for short snout dogs to have narrow nasal passages,  but a Goldendoodle has a long snout and are not really prone to having these issues.  Perhaps your Goldendoodle has a nasal passage that is not properly constructed.  Depending upon the severity of the snoring,  surgery may be necessary to repair an improper nasal passage to alleviate the snoring and help your Goldendoodle breathe better.
