I am a caregiver in a home for 4 girls. One of the clients bites herself and has a tantrum when she doesnt get her way. She is 33 and biopolar. There is a dance she can go to. I told her if she has a good week she can go. Of course she had a melttdown over a piece of gum. I was not with her this weekend the other staff were. When i got to work the client started sucking up to me because she was aware that i was told she acted up. She ask about the dance, i ask if she had a good weekend she said no. I ask if she remembered our deal about the dance? She started to yell at me and said she was going to go any ways then she went to her room and started to break up everything. This is usually what happens. I have been making some headway with this client. She had 3 tantrums last week. They ended with just crying. There are 3 other clients in this house who are afraid of this person their ages are 20 23 24. I feel i should keep my word and not let her go. I try to be fair firm and consistant. Something that has not been done before. I have been with this client for 3 months.
