I've been compiling a list of names for fast dogs and puppies on my Pet Numerology website for some time now. There are a number of inspiring sources for fast doggie names including fast vehicles, fast weather, and synonyms for the word fast.
Some vehicles suggest excellent fast names. Clipper, which was a type of very speedy ship in the 1800s, is a great name. Fast names from flying vehicles include Jet, Missile, and Rocket.
Weather of different types, which are often fast moving, can be used as names. Lightening is extremely fast, and so a good fast name. Some types of storms make fantastic names, especially for a dog that is both quick and a bit destructive as well. These names include Cyclone, Hurricane, and Tornado.
Some things in outer space move very quickly, including Mercury - which is both the fast moving planet that orbits (Orbit is yet another good name) closest to the sun and was also the Roman God with winged shoes. Comets are fast moving objects that sail through our galaxy. Meteors become extremely fast when they enter the Earth's atmosphere.
Some words used in human running can be names for sprinty dogs. Both Dash and Sprint are names for fast paced races. Racer, Runner, and Track are also good names.
Things that are fast or even explosive can be used. Bullet, nitro, and rifle are good names for fast dogs, especially ones that are also a bit destructive.
Synonyms for the word fast are all good choice for zippy puppies including Rapid, Quick, Speedy, and Zippy.
Finally, words that just sound fast make some of the best names for an express canine. Consider Accelerate, Bolt, Express, Flash, Ricochet, Ripper, Sonic, Sparky, Streak, Turbo, Velocity, Zinger, Zip, Zoom.
