Pet ownership is a major responsibility for children, and one method of teaching your children about it is via virtual pet adoption, which is also known as cyber pet adoption. Virtual pets are a latest online fad and children are crazy about it and there are a lot of virtual pet adoption sites available.

With virtual pet adoption your children will not only learn the responsibility of pet ownership, they will also enjoy a lot as they learn. After selecting a pet as their own, they can go online to their virtual pet adoption site and enter the virtual world where their pet exists. At the virtual pet adoption website, they can play with their pet by going with them for walks, dressing them up, constructing their house, and sending them to school. Besides playing with their pet, virtual pet adoption will teach them to look after their pet, just like they would with a real pet. It is not all fun and games, since they have to take care that they feed their pet, tend it at the times of sickness, and play with it if it is fed up. These are the same responsibilities they would take with a real pet but now they would be doing it in cyberspace with cyber pet adoption.

When you opt to allow your child to participate in virtual pet adoption they can select from various types of pets to adopt. Few virtual pet adoption sites will allow you to adopt multiple pets. Your kid can select from a specific breed of a pet or even an alien if they are interested – most virtual pet adoption websites have breeds as well as a variety of pets.

Virtual pet adoption allows your kid to deal with the pet just like a live pet and even more as they can do a lot many things in the virtual world. Your child may form an emotional attachment with their virtual pet, and will start loving it as though it is real. What is most interesting regarding cyber pet adoption is that they provide many of the benefits and responsibilities of pet ownership, without the trouble parents normally have to undergo when giving the child a pet.

If you are interested in introducing your child to pet ownership, virtual pet adoption may be the method you should go for.

Is it possible that bats also eat bird seed such ...
By: aster | 06-11-2008
is it possible that bats also eat bird seed such as black oil, peanut, walnut and pecan bits?  there is a bat in my ancient red cedar tree every night.  i leave seed there for the birds .  why else would he return to that tree every night?  i discovered that he was there over the course of this week.  my cats had been running outside because the weather has been nice.  they don't want to come back at dusk and would rather sit under the tree for hours watching him.  they literally don't move from that spot for hours.  then i saw him one evening fly out of the tree, very rapidly, unlike any bird i've ever seen.  tonight i heard him chirping: a high pitched, shrill voice, when i threw out some garbage.  why would he return to this tree every night, if not for the bird seed?

I can't afford to take her to the vet hospital tonight and have to wait till morning. The wound is about 6 inches on left side of neck and about 2 inches on other side. She is laying down quietly. What can I do tonight to make sure she will be okay until the morning? Can I give her asprin? Should I put neosporin around the wound? I have some amoxicillin 500 prescribed for one of my other dogs, 2 tabs, 2 x's a day. Will that help my girl? She has been with me for 14 years and I am not ready to let her go. She is fairly active and healthy for her age. I take good care of my pets and feed them well. What are rhe dangers associated with waiting 9 hours to get her to the vet? Someone please send me an answer asap, please. I am at a loss with what to do and need fast info. Thanks. T.

By: cjmassengale1229 | 04-11-2008
I took my dog to the vet today because yesterday she threw up and today she had diarrhea. They said she had a bacterial infection. They gave her Primor 120mg and told me to give it to her once a day. They gave her a shot of it to get it in her system. She is still acting lathargic. Does their diagnosis sound right and if it does, how long should it be before I see a difference in her?
