So, what exactly is a remote dog trainer? It is a device composed of transmitter and receiver. A remote transmitter sends signal to the receiver that is attached to the collar of your dog. The receiver then delivers the appropriate stimulation to your dog. The electric stimulation that is delivered to your dog is intended not to harm your pet, rather to distract them by delivering unpleasant electric sensation. Remote trainers should be worn at least a couple of weeks and should be taken off for at least 4-times a day. This will teach your dog to remember the electric sensation with the remote trainer being off. Remote dog trainer provides different levels of sensation. Most professional handlers find they can achieve the desired result by starting or using low stimulation. The remote dog trainer will allow your pet to achieve different level of obedience.
Make sure the remote trainer work properly if you want to achieve the desired result. Using conventional training methods to teach your dog basic obedience commands will also help you train your pet. Keep the training sessions brief. Never continue a session if your dog has lost interest. Never punish your dog if he/she did not achieve the command. Take a rest or break to play with your dog. The success of the training will depend on constant reinforcement of training of the pet owner.
