My dog had a problem where he wanted to bark all the time, all through the night, not only was that annoying to the neighbors but it annoyed us too. I knew something had to be done so in searching for a solution I wanted to learn how to make my dog stop barking using a humane method of training. Using firm, inhumane methods of dog training should never be an option. I searched High & Low for a solution searching forums and asking questions until I found a common ground between dog owners who had primarily the same problem. I discovered that most of the dog owners that I had consulted with were basically just like me having limited experience in dog ownership. Surprisingly there were other dog owners whom had their dogs for more than 8 months all the way up to a full year with no clue as to what could be wrong with their pet. They too were in for a rude awakening as as to the reason for this annoying restless problem. I had no Idea that In learning how to make my dog stop barking that it would be as simple as walking my dog on a daily basis thats it! If you have a digging, or chewing problem the answer could be as simple as pent up energy, something easily alleviated by a 30-45 minute walk, hey don't knock it we could all use the exercise and this gives me a great excuse to get mine. Dogs have needs that have to be met that most dog owners don't associate with one of which is fulfilling the dogs energy level need   through challenging exercise or walking, running, playing etc. The energy has to be used up or your dog could end up with a barrage of annoying problems that you may mistake for mischief. Off topic, for a great relationship with your dog, in addition to the energy solution for barking, digging, and chewing, provide clearly communicated rules, boundaries and limitations for the dog's behavior; and give the dog affection at the right time. Dogs truly are really great animals to have around.
