Beagles are amazing hunting dogs, they are good with children, and they are adorable animals. There are plenty of reasons why you would want to get a dog, and even more why you would want to get this breed of dog. Below are some things to think about when buying a Beagle dog.

1. Before you go out and buy a dog you need to stop and think about if you really want to do it. Dogs are like kids in many ways, and in some ways even worse. They require a lot of your time and love, so think about if you are ready for this before you take the dive.

2. Before purchasing a Beagle dog you need to consider what the dog will do. Are you a hunter that needs a good hunting hound, which this dog is the best for, or is it going to be a dog that will play with your kids? Either way this dog is right for you.

3. You need to decide if you want to buy a puppy or an older dog. Most people want to buy a puppy because they are cute and you know their history. The problem with puppies is that they are much more challenging than the older dogs. Also, if you do not like dogs being put to sleep or thrown out on the street, getting an older dog would be the way to go.

4. Beagles are extremely active dogs and require a lot of attention. You are going to need to be able to take them on at least two fast past walks a day, or give them an open yard so that they can get their own exercise.

5. Beagles are hard to house train so you are going to need to be patient and consistent. They aim to please you, you just need to give them the time to learn what you want and they will eventually do it.

If you are away you should create or room train them, and when you are home you need to watch them closely. If your dog begins to go to the bathroom inside say no in a sharp voice and take them outside. When the dog begins to go to the bathroom outside praise them, and they will pick up that it is the right thing to do.

It does not matter if you are buying a dog for hunting or for your family. Using these things listed above you should be able to buy a Beagle dog and take care of it, and enjoy it.
