my widowed neighbor has asked me to do some horse stall repair. she wants me to dig out the old floor base material which is mostly manure and put down a new base material that will last awhile. i asked a few local horse owners and they said to use crused lime or ag lime. when i researched this online it said the lime will irritate the skin on the horses.i am not sure if they are talking about powdered lime or all limes in general. years ago i was at a horse riding arena and i thought they were using some kind of clay for the main base. any ideas would be helpfull. thanks dennis
