"I sleep with nothin' but a flat brim hat and hockey jock on..."
What if I made my yard out of concrete, my house out of post-it sticky notes, my car out of cardboard, and my bed out of hay? Would that change me? Or would it only make others see me differently?
Looking at this from a different perspective, if you are your own person… Do your materialistic surroundings affect who you are on the inside? How? Do any of you ever think of this stuff?
We all live in a world of imperceivable truths and straight-forward judgmental factors. Realistically many of us have lied in our lives; a manifold of times about one thing or another. If I slept with nothin’ but a flat brim hat and a hockey jock on… do you think I would really tell people? Hell no! Because we as people are unaccepting and extremely judgmental to the configurations that society isn’t accustomed to. If we view our lives from a greater perspective we can begin to realize how corrupt the world truly is.
If you saw a kid with clothes made of wood and no shoes running down the street… what would you think? Either he’s being an idiot, or he’s on something.
Why do we lie? In my opinion, through stacks of my own hidden truths, the main factor to this question is- we lie because we do something that is not of society’s norms. Would society have norms and standards if we all told the truth? I think not.

What does it mean to be European?
By: Eddie Howden | 23/12/2009Bismarck’s remarked that Europe was a mere geographical notion. Unexplained Phenomena and Our Brain's Ability to Hide Behind Reason
By: Addison Prescot | 02/12/2009One hundred years ago if I were to start explaining to people that soon there would be cell phones and people could talk to each other from thousands of miles away, I would have been lucky not to have been locked up. New Ideas must be presented in such a fashion as to not overwhelm the brain. This is why much of what we now view as 'unexplained phenomena' is actually just what I like to call future facts.
