In the Quran: those who forge falsehoods against Allah shall not prosper

The Sons of the Lord God in Bible versus Quran (7)

This is the seventh article of the series:" The Sons of the Lord God in Bible versus Quran".

The Bible says that blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the Sons of God.  The Quran says that Allah has no sons; He is Independent, without need of anyone.

The Sons of the Lord God in the Bible (6)

In Matthew 5:9, the Lord Jesus says:

"Blessed are the peacemakers, because they shall be called Sons of God."

But what if the peacemakers do not believe in God?  Would they be called Sons of God? What if the peacemakers deny God?

Compare this saying of the Lord Jesus about the peacemakers with the saying of the Prophet Muhammad about those who make and spread peace.

Herein we have two peacemakers, the first are those who make peace and the second are those who make and spread peace.

What the Prophet Muhammad said about the peacemakers?

Here, is one of the Prophet Muhammad saying (Hadith) about the peacemakers; He said:

"O people: we all are Allah servants, make and spread peace, give food to the needy, pray better when the people are sleeping then you will be the inhabitant of your Lord's Paradise."

In this Hadith, Muslims are commanded both to make and to spread peace. However, they are still Allah' servant and not by any means Allah' sons!

In addition, the Hadith commands Muslims to give food to the needy and to pray, better, when the people are sleeping (in order to keep away of hypocrisy.

Matthew 5:9 in five different versions of the Bible:

New International Version

9Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

New American Standard Bible

9"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

English Standard Version

9"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

King James Version

9Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

9`Happy the peacemakers -- because they shall be called Sons of God.

The Sons of the Lord God in the Quran (7)

On the other hand, the Quran makes it very clear and says that Allah, the Almighty Creator, has neither a son nor a partner.

The Quran decisively forbids saying that Allah has a son.

It is not befitting for the Majesty of Allah to take to Himself a son.

Allah is exalted, magnified, He is above what they associate with Him of son or partners.  Allah is far transcendent above all that they ascribe unto Him!

In Islam, this point is very important faith wise.

  1. Again, it is unforgivable sin to say or to believe that the One Almighty Creator [who is Allah or God or the Lord or Jehovah or whatever name(s) you are giving Him] has a son or Sons.

From the Islamic point of view, the conclusion of this essential topic that may establish or destroy the faith is that:

Any one who believe that the Almighty Creator has a son or Sons; he messes his faith up and is considered as a disbeliever and in the afterlife he will end up as an eternal inhabitant of the hell.

The meanings of verses 10:68-70:

The meanings of verse 10:68

They say: ‘Allah has taken to Him a son’.

Allah, exalted be He, exonerates Himself from having sons or partners; He says to them: Glory be to Him!

His transcending having offspring, He is Independent, without need of anyone, for only he who has need of a child would desire to have one.  To Him belong all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, as possessions, creatures and servants. You have no warrant, no proof, for what you say or what you claim.  Then, why do you say about Allah what you do not know? Indeed, you are saying concerning Allah that which you know not of lies.

The meanings of verse 10:69

Say O Muhammad: Verily those who invent a lie concerning Allah, attributing offspring to Him, will not succeed; they will not be safe and they will not escape Allah's punishment.

The meanings of verse 10:70

Theirs will be, enjoyment, only a little, in this world, which they will enjoy for the duration of their lives, then to Allah is their return, at death, then Allah shall make them taste terrible chastisement, after death, because they used to disbelieve in Muhammad and in the Quran and also because they invented dreadful lies about Allah.

--------------------------------------------

Verses 10:68-70 of the Noble Quran in four different translations:

Verse 10:68

QARIB: they say: 'Allah has taken a son. 'Exaltations be to him (Allah)! Rich is he. To him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth you have no authority for this! What, do you say of Allah what you do not know?

SHAKIR: they say: Allah has taken a son (to himself)! Glory be to him: he is the self-sufficient: his is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth; you have no authority for this; do you say against Allah what you do not know?

PICKTHAL: they say: Allah hath taken (unto him) a son - glorified be he! He hath no needs! His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. Ye have no warrant for this. Tell ye concerning Allah that which ye know not?

YUSUFALI: they say: "Allah hath begotten a son!" - Glory be to him! He is self-sufficient! His are all things in the heavens and on earth! No warrants have ye for this! Say ye about Allah what ye know not?

Verse 10:69

QARIB: say: 'those who forge falsehoods against Allah shall not prosper. '

SHAKIR: say: those who forge a lie against Allah shall not be successful

PICKTHAL: say: verily those who invent a lie concerning Allah will not succeed.

YUSUFALI: say: "those who invent a lie against Allah will never prosper."

Verse 10:70

QARIB: (they take their) enjoyment in this world, but to us they shall return, then, we shall let them taste the terrible punishment because they were unbelievers. '

SHAKIR: (it is only) a provision in this world, then to us shall be their return; then we shall make them taste severe punishment because they disbelieved

PICKTHAL: this world's portion (will be theirs), then unto us is their return. Then we make them taste a dreadful doom because they used to disbelieve.

YUSUFALI: a little enjoyment in this world!- and then, to us will be their return, then shall we make them taste the severest penalty for their blasphemies.

What does it mean to be European?

By: Eddie Howden | 23/12/2009
Bismarck’s remarked that Europe was a mere geographical notion. "Europe has never existed" he claimed, "One has genuinely to create Europe" Edmund Burke in 1796 claimed, "No European can be a complete exile in any part of Europe." Whichever way you might think, the fact remains that European civilization has dominated the globe from the Neanderthal man up to landing on the moon. The question the modern European asks today is: “ If I am European, what does this mean?”
