Felix Broune is a seasoned photographer and a resource person.
As there are different photographers so also are there different technique used to achieving great result with your digital camera. this simple tips I am about to reveal to you will surely make your photos look better and appreciated by all.
Keep your composition simple
If you want your shot to be admired by all you must keep it simple, avoid every distraction that normally appears on photos. The telephone poles, wires, cables, street rubbish and all other object that might content with your subject. You can avoid them by using the zoom lens or you can physically position yourself so that these ugly objects are shot out.
Avoid taking pictures in bright sunlight
Whenever you are taking a picture remember that the bright sunlight is not always the friend of the photographer at least in almost all the cases if not all. Always make sure your subjects are placed in a shade where the sun will not make nonsense of your photograph, move your subject into where they will be relaxed away from the sun.
If you don’t want your subject looking like a statue, looking straight into the lens and grinning like a lost soul you must make sure you dress your subject well by talking and looking properly at his position
Using the right shooting mode
If you want your picture looking fine set your camera to ‘P’ or program mode rather than the auto mode.
If you are shooting for portrait, you can use the portrait mode or you can set the camera to Aperture Priority mode [‘A’ or ‘AV’] manually setting it to 14 or 15.6 [this will make the subject sharp and make everywhere else looking blur]
For landscape or far off subject you can use the mountain mode in your camera. This mode guarantees a sharper looking distance shot.
If you are into an action scene use the simple action mode, pick a shutter speed of about 1/500s to ‘freeze’ the action. [The shutter priority mode called the ‘T’ or TV mode can be used also for greater user control]
Note: if there is no much light you are advised to choose an ISO sensitivity setting of 200 or 400 because using the ‘fast’ shutter speed you might quickly run out of light.
