Meet a new confident you, with unique facial surgery-Chin Augmentation

The first step to looking beautiful is feeling beautiful!

It is very important to a person’s self-esteem that they feel happy with their looks. And inner confidence comes from, amongst other things, knowing that you look great. Many people who have a weak or receding chin are affected by loss of confidence as a result. This facial imperfection can be rectified with chin implant surgery.

“Facial surgeries are on a surge these days, owing to the immediate and drastic change that they bring to a person’s face. Chin augmentation is one surgery that is new to people but is picking up very fast as it helps in completely changing a person’s look” says Dr Ruchika from Indicure.

Chin (mandibular) augmentation is the surgical use of implants to bring the chin into better balance with your other facial features. Physicians also refer to the procedure as genioplasty. The outcome is a balanced relationship between the structures of the face.

The procedure balances a weak or receding chin. It makes the chin more prominent and makes a prominent nose seem less large. It is considered beautiful when, seen from the side; the chin and the lower lip are vertically aligned.

It balances the relationship between the chin and the nose, as regards size and outline. This is why this surgery is usually performed together with a rhinoplasty.

It can give the chin a more masculine or feminine look, according to the standards of proportion and harmony prescribed for each sex.

Chin augmentation can be performed under local or general anesthesia, depending on patient and surgeon preferences.  The surgery can last from thirty minutes to one and one-half hours, depending on the complexity of the case.

The surgeon may use some bone or fat from the patient’s body, harvested cadaver tissue, silicon implants or a whole range of other synthetic or biological inserts which may even include specially prepared coral. Some implants are made of solid silicone, generally considered safe by most physicians.
