"Live today and the choices you make must be for today, for you can not change the past nor can you control the future. Live today!"
time passes
lost and confused
where am i headed
feeling so unsure
whats my destiny
do i follow
do i lead
try to stay up
getting slammed
pressure is growing
lashing out
feeling lost
whats ahead
where am i
growing of disgust
hearing the same
wanting to help
wanting to walk
choices are made
lives are touched
i am learning
changing and growing
a day has passed
it starts again
a new day dawns
what will it bring
Life comes fast and todays stress does not help the pressures that everyday life brings. Tomorrow is a new day, a clean slate. Dwelling on the past will affect your future. Accept what has happened and learn from this.
I see and hear the sorrows daily. I feel the pain of the economy and my personal choices. I accept the past and look forward to the future. Our lives belong to us no one else. The benefits of the current change is that we are all out of the rut. We are drudging a new path and making a fresh start. I look at this change as a time for vision and a new road to happiness. Accepting the change is difficult but learning and moving forward is a must. I feel we are building the future for our children not living the decisions of our parents. We decide.
.....Sitting here writing this and focusing on what has happened in the last year, my 5 year old daughter sneaks up and scares the crud out of me. Now, this is another fork in the road. Do I lash back and let my intteruption be negative or do I look at what she was doing. I decide, I hug her and laugh and give praise for a simple trick that was played. I now say "oh, you got me good....now i am awake. thank you my beautiful ray of light." Our children don't see what is happening, but they feel it when we take the stress out on them. When they come to you...Stop, think and then decide. We will build the road to who they will become. I want their road to be one without problems.
Every day we make decisions, no matter how big or small. Now is the time to take responsibility not place blame.
