Are you a Hypocrite?

Are You a Hypocrite?

The bible dictionary describes a hypocrite as one who pretends to be religious when he is not (though it is sometimes used to mean simply a bad man) or women. Hypocrisy was the besetting sin of the Pharisees, and was severely condemned by the Lord. (Matt. 23:13-33; Mark 12:38-40; Luke 11:37-44; 20:46-47

What kind of a hypocrite are we? Do we pretend to be a really nice person but we’re not nice at all? Do we go to church, all dressed up and pretend to be a good mother or father but go home and abuse our family? Do we wear a smile but are filled with anger and hatred? Do we do nice things for others knowing the only reason we do them is to get gain for ourselves? Do we cheat on our income tax? Do we manipulate others to get what we want? Do we pretend to be a good Christian but use foul language? Do we willfully break the commandments with no remorse? Do we make excuses for ourselves when we know we are doing wrong? Do we use whatever authority we have unrighteously? Do we claim to be a Christian but cheat on our mate? Are we a church leader who takes advantage of our position to exploit God’s children who trust us?

We know what makes us a hypocrite and so does God. He knows all our big and little secrets. We, as well as He, knows where our secrets are hidden.

Do our actions tell what kind of a Christian we really are? If we really believed God was witnessing all the bad things we are doing, would we be doing them? Would we be a hypocrite if we really loved God?

It is said that –OUR TRUE NATURE IS - WHO WE ARE WHEN NO ONE IS LOOKING

Maybe we need to look into our hearts and find out who we really are. How many people would be cheating on their mates if they knew God was watching everything they were doing? We just don’t get away with cheating on God.

On TV there are court cases where people murder and supposedly get away with it. We all know they did it but they have the money and the big attorney and they get themselves off. But did they really get themselves off? No. God knows exactly what they did and they will pay for their sins in this life or the life to come. There is no getting off when you are guilty. There is no hiding from The Lord. There are no secrets from God.

Math: 23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. :33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Also, we don’t have to wait for our sins to be discovered when we die. Our sins are often discovered in this life. When they are, we will suffer the consequence of seeing the hurt we have caused others and we will have to live with that guilt.

Besides all that, as long as we are hiding secrets from God He has withdrawn His spirit from us and we are left on your own. When we are left on your own, the consequence is something we will regret for the rest of our life, because Satan will get a hold of us.

Satan deceives us into thinking we’re ok. Actually he makes us believe our life is good. He blinds us into thinking we are ok and it’s ok to do the things that we’re doing. He wants us to follow him so he can put a chain around our neck and pull us right down to hell. He has a plan and his plan is to take us away from Heavenly Father and get us under his control so he can destroy us. If we live the life of a hypocrite we most assuredly will destroy our life.

How do we change our life? How do we stop being a hypocrite?

1. We must repent of the secrets we are keeping from God
2. We must stop the act, which made us a hypocrite in the first place.
3. We must walk away from temptation.
4. We must make up to those we have hurt with our sins.
5. We must choose to be obedient and follow God’s commandments.
6. We must pray always
7. We must study and thirst to know God’s word in the Scriptures.
8. We must commit ourselves to endure to the end righteously
9. We must constantly be aware that God is watching us.

If we don’t’ want to be a hypocrite, we must repent of our sins and come unto Christ and be pure and clean. On judgment day everything we thought we were concealing will be made evident. The punishment we will receive for being a hypocrite will not make any sin worthwhile.

It is better, in this earth life, to be pure and clean so we can offer our righteous life as a gift to God on our judgment day.

Remember this. Even a hypocrite can be saved. Heavenly Father loves us all and wants us to return to Him.

Isaiah 9:17 Everyone is a hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this His anger is not turned away, but HIS HAND IS STRETCHED OUT STILL.

From slavery up until todays big problems we are facing here and now

By: Paul Pajaken | 29/12/2009
From the beginning of slavery the democratic party has kept people in bondage in one way or another. Up until this generation it has always been in low doses and under the covers so to speak. Now they are desperate and aggressive to the point of violence and vindictiveness. Now they feel as if their goal is within reach. Socialism is the hidden agenda behind all this force and push like they have no time left. It has to be done now while they have the power. They know they will be out in Nov

The new politics and why both parties are failing America

By: Paul Pajaken | 28/12/2009
This administration has gone against every promise it made before the elections and many after taking office. They said they would change America and they sure are. The vindictive and mean nature of their politics is reminiscent of Chicago style at its worst. The close affiliations with SEIU and Acorn have shown their past to be closely allied with both groups.

Politics, Power and the Survival of the fittest, what becomes of the weak and feeble? (Part 1)

By: Shamyll Zeb | 28/12/2009
It is 29th December 2009, another year coming to an end. People, the world over are preparing to rejoice or at-least the media depicts it in such a way that one is led to believe that there is joy and happiness around the world. But what the people of the world do is of no concern to us, for we are in a state of constant war, a war we did not start, a war we don’t want to be a part of, it’s just a war that has been forced onto us. Who are we, we are the people of Pakistan.

The Best Christmas Gift for Kids is Alcohol Free Parents

By: Eva Fry | 15/10/2007 | Parenting
Alcohol destroys children and families. Just because alcohol is so accepted today is not reason for a parent to be so selfish that they don't think of the consequences of how their drinking will affect their children. First, your drinking is a example to show them it is ok to drink alcohol. Next your drinking can cause you to act in ways you would never act without alcohol. Many children are abused at the hands of their parents when they are drinking. Don't do that to your kids. Stop drinking!

Are you a Hypocrite?

By: Eva Fry | 12/10/2007 | Politics
Are you honest with God? Are you honest with others? Are you a phoney? Being dishonest gets you no where because God sees everything you do and you will have answer to him one day. It is better to be honest in this life because this life will come to and end. It is important that you recognize this truth and get your life in order. If you think you can get away with deceit your mistaken for sure because Father-in_heaven knows all and he sees everything that you do. It's just not worth it.
