We see him in TV channels, newspapers and magazines. Who is this man? What is wrong with him? He is considered to be a dangerous President for more than a million people who are refugees in Darfur. It is said that he is responsible for exterminating killing and raping the people in Darfur. The international community is hateing this President who has committed genocide in his country, but refusing the changes. Recently in 2009, the International Criminal Court issued a judgment to arrest him for ‘extermination, murder and rape.’ People who support him were against this judgment, saying that the ICC has no business to issue a judgment on the President of Sudan which is not a member of ICC. More than one million people depend directly on the expelled air group for healthcare, food and water. The President of Sudan ordered to halt all work by the aid agency, Doctors Without Borders. The sudden stoppage of aid to the people in the camp will result in disease and water shortages. Diarrhea is spreading already. Health clinics are being closed. Children will be the first victims. The former Secretary of State of the U. S. Madeleine Albright says “I don’t think the international community can stand by and watch as thousands more people starve to death. You can watch this and not feel that there has to be something done.” Yes, something has to be done for the people who are in dire need of help for their life. The United Nation is doing all what it can do. But still it is not enough. Darfur is one of the dangerous places where murder and rape are going on without any control what so ever. News reporters travel these places and interview people and report in the media for the outside world to know about such sad set of affairs.
