The party of grassroots politics is actually the party of denial and prairie mentality.
Taking his step-father’s name Brian Melendez of Florida and Donna Cassutt from segregated suburban Detroit shows that no one who has been born and raised in Minnesota is running the DFL. Even on Facebook Keith, Ellison uses Detroit as his hometown and he has been here since his days as a young Black Radical law student where Brian Melendez, Matt Entenza all went to the Mondale School of Law. RT Rybak was a reporter for the Star Tribune who covered Keith X or Muhammad, Esq. when he defended Sharif Willis who allegedly killed Officer Jerry Haff at the Pizza Shack on Lake Street.
The DFL before 1989 was for the workers and they donated their time and were a part of the process. Now, we have politicians that have to pay their family members to help them campaign. That speaks volumes of how democratic, progressive the DFL really is. Brian Melendez is also heads of the Minnesota Bar Association. What does that have to do with Farmers or Laborers?
Since 1989, there has been a trend stemming from Jackie Cherryhomes’ city council bid. Cherryhomes’ campaign manager Senator Linda Higgins who was also Les Bernant’s assistant and members of her team were infamous Al Garcia, a very corrupt group of people.
Twenty years is a good time to reflect, and during that time the quality of life for the native Minneapolitans has declined, neighborhoods gentrified, the poor warehoused and the only people to blame are the ones in power and do nothing to represent their constituents. They are not from the communities and know nothing of the values of what it is to be Minnesotan. Meanwhile they boast how progressive Minnesota is, but the statistics speak otherwise, only a notation on their resume.
There is little of grassroots, neighborhood anything. Sadly, Norm Coleman has spent more time in Minnesota than Al Franken who was busy on the cast of Saturday Night Live.
